Summary

The Partnership Development Manager will actively participate in the new business development process within the AAA National Strategic Partnerships department, with a primary focus on identifying, evaluating, and securing new partnerships for the AAA Association.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage in Strategic Partnership business development activities as assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Identify prospects for new Discount and Rewards partnerships, make contact, and secure new partnerships that meet specified criteria;
  • Perform standard due diligence and business case creation for prospective partner;
  • Create differentiated value propositions that are mutually beneficial between AAA and partners during the business development process.
  • Establish business terms, lead negotiations, and execute agreements.
  • Launch new partnership programs and manage seamless handoff to the partnership management team, and
  • Operate with a focus on urgency and maximum value to the association;
  • Maximize the strategic value of partnerships to AAA and member clubs through the following:
  • Coordinate with other functional groups within Strategic Partnerships and AAA Clubs to support an efficient business development pipeline, and the effective transition from partnership development to partnership management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in business development to the Strategic Partnerships group.
  • Leverage internal and external relationships and monitor competitive space and industry trends that affect partnership targeting and management decisions;
  • Create presentations, executive summaries, and other forms of written communication in support of business development activities (business cases, value propositions, etc.)
  • Over-communicate internally and externally using best practices to mitigate errors and barriers in reaching the objectives of Strategic Partnerships;
  • Perform all additional duties assigned by leadership.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree required / MBA preferred and; 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ business development experience
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.

    Hiring Range: $78,040 - $98,330

    This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.
