Job Summary:

The VP of Facility Operations will have key accountability for ensuring that the business delivers against its strategic plan and meets key business targets. You will be the key go-to person and strategic leader on day-to-day basis within the business, reporting up to the GM of Greenstone. As the leader and mentor of this team, you would work on all aspects of the operation to build and drive customer and product growth within the business.

This role will oversee Greenstone’s Facility & Operations product line, including our industry-leading OneWeigh solution, which enables automation and efficiency in grain facility management. As the executive leader of this product line, you will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision, driving financial performance, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to lead a critical segment of our business that directly supports the operational backbone of agribusinesses across North America.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the strategy, P&L and operational performance of the Facility & Operations product line
  • Develop and execute against the strategic plan for the product line that will ensure strong growth and profitability
  • Meet agreed P&L targets, including BQR (EBITA + Net Revenue Growth); Core Ratio; and Customer Satisfaction and Attrition.
  • Actively monitor their P&L performance against the forecast, and drive the quarterly P&L re-forecast process
  • Development of talent pipeline and succession planning to support the growth objectives within their P&L, including talent attraction and retention, building capability and employee engagement across the P&L
  • Providing mentoring and coaching for upcoming leaders for the future, ensuring that there is leadership succession and strong bench strength for the future
  • Ensure structure and resourcing levels will enable P&L objectives to be met
  • Strategic internal and external key stakeholder management
  • Escalation point for key customers issues within their product line
  • Ensure adequate customer attraction and retention strategies are in place to meet the agreed objectives, ensuring sales team executes against agreed upon sales strategy
  • Identify risks and issues and put in place remediation and mitigation plans

Team Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Responsible for the product marketing strategy and execution
  • Support sales to gain new name customers within a competitive environment that is driven by an excellent product reputation
  • Be hands-on in day-to-day operations including revenue forecasting, R&D capacity management, customer support
  • Work with sales and professional services on revenue forecasting, services resourcing

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Become a subject matter expert on the market, the product, and the competition
  • Be a go-to person and strategic leader on day-to-day basis within the company.
  • Research customer and vertical needs and identify where there may be opportunities for the organization to partner, build or buy. Report findings to General Manager
  • Build Customer Success Management expectations and ensure Sales Team delivers
  • Support VBU Leader in overall strategy of the business

Required skills and qualifications

  • Prior experience with software for facility and operations, ideally with experience in grain, oilseeds, and/or related industries
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and developing a team of high performing individuals
  • Strong knowledge and success in marketing, customer care, customer success, product or development strategies with ability to support sales and technical delivery
  • Good overall business acumen
  • Outstanding leadership, change management and communication skills; with the ability to build strong trusting relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and engage the team around a shared vision and drive accountability at all levels for delivery against the strategic plan
  • Financially astute with the ability to identify opportunities and take calculated risks to ensure the future sustainability and growth
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically about product development, customer, and market needs; being innovative and adept at problem solving in your approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science/ engineering, IT or other related field

Preferred skills and qualifications

Location: Flexible work environment with the option to remotely or from offices in Alpharetta, GA or Ankeny, IA.
