Title: Client Service Coordinator

In this role, you will:
- Support the basic short term loan program by providing front desk reception, data entry, and customer service.
- In the absence of a local Lead Volunteer/Trainer, train, schedule, supervise and support client service volunteers.
- Review incoming referrals for completeness and liaise with referring health care professionals for further information as required.
- Respond to in-person and telephone enquiries from clients, healthcare professionals, and the public.
- Follow up on equipment that is past the loan due date and make reminder phone calls prior to loans coming due.
- Develop and implement a local recruitment plan to build the local volunteer base, which may include attending volunteer fairs.
- Build relationships with key community organizations, colleges, and volunteer agencies where applicable.
- Provide program administration including, but not limited to, managing office supplies, updating volunteer records, compiling program statistics, processing financial and equipment donations, completing quarterly inventory, accurately entering equipment and client data into the database, and running reports.
Support the Client Service Supervisor in maintaining program standards and implementing quality control mechanisms.
What we are looking for:
- The minimum qualifications for this job are completion of two (2) years post-secondary education in health services, administration, business support, or a related field and one (1) year customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including telephone etiquette.
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Strong computer proficiency including experience with MS Office Suite, including but not limited to MS Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively problem solve, prioritize, organize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy, empathy, and the ability to manage difficult situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 50lbs.

Working conditions:
- 14 hours/week
- Work will be performed in an office and warehouse environment. Frequent bending and lifting may be required. Working alone may frequently be required.
