Hi, I’m Laura, the Chief Brand Officer here at JENNY BIRD. We’re looking for an Art Director to join our team. I have been with the company for over 6 years and although we have managed to accomplish so much in that time it feels like we’re just getting started! As Art Director at JENNY BIRD, the execution of creative deliverables is on your shoulders—including communicating creative ideas, implementing marketing strategies, and developing design solutions. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, you champion creative concepts to project teams and lead their execution. With mentorship from a Creative Director to help you grow, you’ll lead a team of designers to excellence. Most importantly, you are driven by a passion for design and visual communication.

In this Role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the creative services team
  • Translating Associate Creative Director’s vision into tangible tasks
  • Developing & upholding brand guidelines
  • Ensuring a consistent visual identity across platforms
  • Translating marketing insights and performance data into creative strategies that drive engagement and conversion
  • Aligning creative storytelling with brand positioning and seasonal priorities
  • Championing innovation in content formats and storytelling approaches across digital and physical touchpoints
  • Ensuring creative executions reflect evolving market trends and audience behavior
  • Providing creative leadership in cross-functional meetings to ensure cohesive communication between creative, marketing, eCommerce, and product teams
  • Build relationships with and manage photographers 
  • Take ownership of ecomm and off-figure photoshoots - making all ecomm photography selects and guide teams on their usage
    • Final sign off on ecomm PDPs 
  • Conceptualizing sale periods campaign
  • Take shared management of Creative budget
  • Be the last look for all launches to ensure cohesiveness of storytelling and assets (including Site/App, Emails, Ads, Social, Wholesale, Events, Printed Material)
  • Create all collection lookbooks


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience that demonstrates impeccable craft and command of creative concepts, visual concepts, art direction and design across a variety of projects with an emphasis on digital but working knowledge of print
  • The ability to take projects from concept to completion with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling and creative ideas
  • Master prioritizer and multi-tasker
  • Experience managing a team of designers
  • Passion for design, art, fashion and culture - a trend hunter
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, including (at minimum) Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, interactive PDF and Photoshop
  • Experience managing budgets is an asset
  • Leadership abilities to foster learning and excellence among team members
  • Eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
