Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a Food Service Liaison to join our Food and Nutrition Services team in Springfield, MA.

SCHEDULE:

  • Part Time, 2nd Shift

  • 16 hours/week

  • Working hours are typically every Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon

  • Alternating shifts of 2pm-6pm and 3:30pm-7:30pm

  • *Shift Differential Offered for Weekends*

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience in hospitality/food services industry strongly preferred

  • 1-2 years' experience in customer service and/or call center

  • Ability to multitask

  • Computer literate      

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Summary: 

The Food Service Liaison (Liaison) facilitates intra and inter-department communications, processes patient menu selections, and troubleshoots patient meal-related problems that may arise. In addition, the Liaison is responsible for training new employees on the use of electronic medical records and dietary computer applications.


May be required to assume a leadership role when necessary.

Job Responsibilities: 

1) Facilitates communication between nursing, Food, and Nutrition Departments and the Call Center.

2) Initiates and documents service recovery.

3) Processes Adult Partial Treatment Unit (APTU) meals and assigned non-select meals.

4) Troubleshoots patient meal-related problems.

5) Retrieves, reviews, and enters necessary patient information from CIS and CBord as needed.

6) Prints and appropriately processes CBord reports.

7) Performs Formula Technician duties when necessary.

8) Utilizes critical thinking to address problems and situations.

9) Conducts and oversees new employee training.
