Materials Lab Technician (Concrete & Soil) chez Nova Engineering & Environmental

NOVA Engineering & Environmental seeks a Materials Lab Technician in Norcross, Georgia to perform laboratory testing for construction materials testing and geotechnical / soils projects. This role ensures materials meet project specifications and supports quality assurance for a variety of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests on asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils for commercial and transportation projects.
• Perform strength, density, and moisture tests following GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.
• Accurately document and report test results to project managers and clients.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment per GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements.
• Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures.

Preferred Certifications:

• American Concrete Institute (ACI) Lab Certifications (Aggregate, Strength, etc)
• GDOT Lab Certifications (Aggregate, Concrete Strength, Asphalt, etc.)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and occasionally assist in the field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
