Principle Purpose of Job

The Spa Manager is responsible for assisting the Spa Director in daily operations of the spa, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high standards of professionalism and service. This role includes managing spa staff, coordinating schedules, handling guest concerns, assisting with inventory and budget and working with the Spa Director to ensure the spa runs efficiently and profitably. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Spa Director in overseeing day-to-day spa operations, including both Front and Back of House.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the spa facility to ensure cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming environment.
  • Create and manage the Front of House schedule with the oversite of the Spa Director.
  • Address staff concerns and support clear, effective team communication.
  • Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for.
  • Create a positive, professional, and enjoyable working environment for all team members.
  • Input HOTSOS tickets as needed and ensure timely follow-up on maintenance and service requests.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to guest concerns, ensuring a high standard of service and satisfaction.
  • Maintain product quality standards and ensure the spa meets appearance and cleanliness expectations in all areas.
  • Schedule therapists, spa concierges, and housekeepers using ResortSuite.
  • Assist the Spa Director with monthly inventory management and ordering of professional products for both Front and Back of House.
  • Assist the Spa Director and Merchandising Consultant with management of the retail shop, including product displays and stock levels.
  • Help update the website and communicate relevant spa changes or promotions to the marketing team.
  • Assist the Spa Director with organizing yoga classes and group events.
  • Support staff with any guest issues that arise, providing guidance and solutions as needed.
  • Assist the Spa Director with reviewing applications and conducting interviews for massage therapists, estheticians, yoga instructors, receptionists, and housekeepers.
  • Responsible for staff training, onboarding, and ongoing mentoring.
  • Attend departmental and resort meetings as needed.
  • Able to fill in as Spa Concierge when required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in Resort Spa Management. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in all aspects of spa operations. 
  • Prior retail experience preferred with knowledge of facial and body products a plus.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Experience effectively managing a spa departmental team with over 15 team members a plus.
  • Must have a working knowledge of spa scheduling software.
  • Must have strong organizational skills (written and verbal,) computer skills and accounting skills. 
  • Able to effectively lead and develop managers, service staff and other employees of the resort into a cohesive team. 
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds consistently. 
  • Must be available weekends and holidays. 


Compensation Description:

$59,000 - $65,000/year Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
