Description
The Department Manager for the ProXpress Division is responsible for ensuring that Valcourt consistently meets and exceeds client expectations on all projects under $25,000. These projects include emergency temporary repairs, leak investigations and repairs, and other small-scale scopes of work performed by the company.
The Department Manager will lead the ProXpress team in delivering exceptional service, maintaining operational excellence, and fostering a client-centered culture that reflects Valcourt’s core values and commitment to quality, safety, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture
- Create and maintain a positive, service-driven culture within the ProXpress team.
- Ensure that every client interaction reinforces Valcourt’s brand, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all team members.
Client Experience
- Oversee all client interactions from initial contact through final payment to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
- Ensure clients are well-informed and equipped to make sound decisions regarding building maintenance and future capital planning.
Operational Management
- Manage daily operations of all projects under $25K, including emergency repairs, leak investigations, and small-scale services.
- Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
- Monitor job progress, resource allocation, and quality control to achieve operational efficiency.
Performance & Compliance
- Uphold Valcourt’s commitment to safety by enforcing all safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Stand behind the quality of workmanship and address any issues promptly and professionally.
Financial & Administrative
- Manage project budgets and profitability for all ProXpress jobs within the branch.
- Support timely invoicing, collections, and accurate job costing.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction, building services, or related field; management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple small-scale projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel.
