SUMMARY:
Manage all aspects of water works product line to include product development, new product requests, pricing, literature, competitive analysis, demonstration trucks, specifications and forecasting. Act as liaison between engineering, customer service, regional managers, and field sales personnel on all issues pertaining to water works product line. This is a people-driven role centered on relationships and collaboration—our company runs on people, and the customer is the true boss. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- It is essential the following duties and responsibilities have a People First approach as “This Company Runs on People:”
- Develop programs to maintain overall profitability and sales growth of product line.
- Provide leadership and oversight of Demonstration Truck co-worker’s responsibilities and activities.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Municipal Water Coordinators responsibilities and activities.
- Involve and inform the management group of activities on the Water Works line.
- Provide tools and products to field sales personnel to achieve yearly sales quota.
- Listen to, evaluate, and react to the needs of the customer.
- Establish market area pricing by region and maintain it as needed.
- Assist sales staff with product application and usage.
- Review and provide feedback on a regular basis to determine on-going forecast.
- Assist in the creation and updating of product literature for the customer.
- Attend and participate in industry trade shows and exhibitions.
- Travel with various sales representatives on an as needed basis.
- Assist in specification work for approval processes with customers.
- Promote a culture of safety, respect, and accountability in daily interactions and decision-making.
- Work closely with PIC to maintain accurate planning and lead times.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
