SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Global Litigation and People Law teams as well as support for the larger Law Department. 
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparing, formatting, and proof-reading documents. Organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Calendaring case deadlines
  • Addressing communication some of significant importance and/or confidential nature, including attorney engagements, garnishments, bankruptcies, and litigation-related documents
  • Creating and managing matters within the CounselLink system, including addressing vendor invoices and uploading and filing relevant documents
  • Obtaining DUNS numbers, position histories, and other relevant documents to support attorney work
  • Tracking recoveries and in-housed work
  • Making and updating travel arrangements and creating and submitting expense reports
  • Assisting with attorney licensure requirements including continuing legal education tracking and bar dues payments
  • Supporting court filings
  • Assisting with subpoena compliance and mail distribution
  • Reviewing incoming matters and correspondence for priority and content and responding promptly
  • Coding and processing invoices
  • Managing and inputting data
  • Working with internal clients, law department team members, and outside attorneys in a professional and courteous manner consistent with the RIGHT behaviors
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Completion of high school, vocational school, or equivalent required; some college preferred. 
Experience: 3 years or more of related experience preferred. Experience in a law firm, in-house environment, or related enabling function preferred. Experience within Tyson preferred. 
Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills are required, including significant experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams) and Adobe. Prior experience with legal software systems including CounselLink, Westlaw, and RelOne preferred. 
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills, are required. Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively, confidently, and politely with team members at all levels throughout the company. 
Special Skills: Ability to deal with complicated, difficult, and high-pressure situations in a professional and confident manner is necessary. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. Positive attitude, resiliency, and problem-solving skills are necessary. An ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and integrity is essential. Availability to work occasional overtime and an ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment are important. 
Travel: Some limited travel may be required.
