What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit an Imaging Systems Manager to join our Imaging Services Team. A highly competitive salary is offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time position, working 7.5 hours shifts between Monday to Friday, during the service hours of 0800-200.

The role includes an on-call requirement to provide support for critical system issues outside of regular working hours, ensuring continuity of service for Imaging Services systems and supporting other clinical departments in need.

With overall responsibility to administer, manage and support the operations, system maintenance and quality control activities of Clinical Imaging Systems at Cleveland Clinic London, the Imaging Systems Manager will work as part of a global team and under the overall guidance of the Clinical Manager of Imaging Services. The Imaging Systems Manager will have direct line management responsibility for a team of seven staff members. They will also work with ongoing projects and task responsibilities to the Divisional Institute Managers, Clinical Engineering Manager and the IT Manager.

They will be responsible for: the efficient day-to-day Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS/VNA), Radiology Information System (RIS), Cardiology and other CCL digital technologies, in order to ensure continuity of patient care at all times. Managerial support within the Clinical Imaging Systems team, maintaining effective service delivery through the allocation and management of resources, responding to evolving clinical service needs, handling complaints and ensuring close liaison with clinical users and third party suppliers. Developing and maintaining operational policies and procedures and system audits. Delivery of training for, and the integrity, safe use and security of the Clinical Imaging Systems database 

What will your duties include?

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of the following specialised system to assist with training and provide 1st line support (indicative list only and non-exhaustive

  • Terarecon

  • Brainlab / TraumaCad

  • Orpheus CAST

  • Nuance PS 360

  • Zeiss (Ophthalmology)

  • Syngo VIA

  • Syngo Dynamic

  • Digitiser

  • CD burning software used to produce CDs of patient images

  • CR software used in the post processing of plain film

  • Workstation used in the post processing of MRI

  • Workstation used in the post processing of CT

  • Orthopaedic electronic templating software used to pre plan operations such as hip joint replacements

  • Other Third Party DICOM systems

  • Implement, support, and potentially lead integrations for Clinical Imaging System projects

  • Prepare reports for administration on all aspects of medical imaging operations as appropriate or directed.

  • Provide application and technical support for the Imaging team in addition to system triage and troubleshooting assistance to the end-users

  • Act as liaison between Imaging Services and other departments related to medical imaging initiatives and procedures and assisting with existing or new medical imaging endeavours.

  • Oversee activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems.

 What we need from you?

  • Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography / Computer Science / Health Informatics, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required

  • Professions Council or equivalent IT/Healthcare experience required

  • Completion of PACS Administrator training experience required

  • PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management qualification required

  • Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration desirable

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge and experience of Imaging Systems and the interrelationship of these with other clinical services within a complex hospital environment

  • Knowledge of Information Governance and its use within the Imaging IT environment

  • Knowledge and experience of working practices within Imaging departments
