Janitor - 111 Jones St. chez Mercy Housing

The successful Janitor will be a team member who provides clean affordable housing to the residents of the community. The Janitor will work with maintenance staff to coordinate a cleaning schedule.  Daily activities: remove trash every other day, sweep and mop. This property is in the Tenderloin neighborhood.

Hours can be 7-4 or 8-5:30pm (an hour unpaid lunch). Street parking. We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This is an on-site position.

Pay: $23.00-24.37/hour

Duties:

• Cleans and maintains entry lobby, including cleaning of windows, doors, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, etc., at least daily, and more if necessary, to maintain excellent entrance appeal.
• Cleans laundry room, community room, conference room, and management offices on a daily basis.
• Vacuums hallways on a daily basis.
• Cleans community bathrooms on a daily basis, more if necessary, to maintain in a sanitary manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years experience.
