POSITION SUMMARY
The NIGHT SHIFT Sanitation Technician is responsible for keeping the plant in clean and orderly condition. Perform janitorial cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, restrooms, offices, work areas all throughout the plant, washing walls and glass, and removing trash. Must be able to work every other weekend.
SCHEDULE: 5:00 P.M. - 5:00 A.M.
Must be able to work weekends when necessary.
Compensation: $D.O.E.+ Benefits, Target Annual Bonus and Paid Time Off
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
- Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to understand the basic components of mixing chemicals properly for cleaning applicable areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physical demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
