MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST chez Liberty Live Church

Position Summary: This position provides general maintenance services for Liberty’s facilities.

Ministry Department: Facilities

Position Reports To: Facilities Director

Hours:  This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week. The basic work schedule is Monday-Friday, or as determined necessary by the Facilities Director.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide general maintenance and building repairs.
2. Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, circuits, wiring, appliances and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
3. Operate a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
4. Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installation and/or repair.

7. Work in coordination with the overall mission, goals and objectives of the church which are summarized by the mission statement “Changing Lives, Communities and the World for Jesus Christ.”

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of carpentry, electricity, painting, mechanical, plumbing, and general maintenance problems.
2. Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
3. Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

The job will be done throughout Liberty’s buildings. There will be times of prolonged walking, bending, standing, and climbing on ladders, scaffolding and lifts as well as lifting moderate to heavy items.
