Description
The Yard Worker works with other rental team members to manage the equipment movement in and out of each location. Charged with keeping accurate inventory and recording damaged machines while maintaining the ability to work safely, identify hazards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all applicable safety policies.?
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follow procedure for shipping and receiving items in and out of the yard.
- Ensure all machinery is loaded and unloaded.
- Clean machines and maintain machine storage areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory and record damaged machines.
- Follow procedure for checking rental equipment in and out.
- Prepare equipment for pickup
- Perform pre-rental checks.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the yard.
- Ensure rental equipment is in rental-ready condition.
- Organize shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Assist rental coordinator with rental contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be able to work safely, identify hazards, and assist in corrective activities
- Must be a self-starter and accomplish work with minimum supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to solve problems and work under pressure
- Good computer skills
- Must be flexible as schedule requires
