Duties

Serves as the Supervisory Recreation Program Manager, responsible for managing, directing, administering, planning, coordinating and evaluating installation-wide recreation programs plus funding support.,Analyzes and interprets complex legislative, policy and regulatory decisions and ensures they are applied in the development of community recreation program plans, policies, and guidance.,Assures that programs are in compliance with all governing laws, policies and regulations and responsible for advising garrison/installation program manager and staff on community recreation matters.,Provides technical guidance on program implementation, administration, evaluation and modification of community recreation programs, which include but is not limited to Sports, Fitness and Aquatics, Extramural Sports Region Championships, etc.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. One (1) years of specialized experience managing, directing, administering, planning, coordinating, and evaluating installation-wide recreation programs plus funding support. 2. Experience working with multiple Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) programs such as Army Community Service, Child and Youth Services, Recreation/Sports, Business Operations and NAF Support. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Three (3) or more years' of work experience directing/leading or working with one or more US Army Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Recreation Programs (sports and fitness, library, arts and crafts, theater, auto skills) for a garrison. 2. Three (3) or more years' of leadership experience with US Army Family and MWR Program development, execution, and analysis of installation or region wide recreation/business programs. 3. Three (3) or more years' of leadership experience serving as proponent for installation, region, MACOM/MAJCOM or HQ level policies for Family and MWR category A, B, and C programs. 4. Three (3) or more years' of procurement, NAF and APF financial management, personnel management, CPMC, and FMWR construction project management experience. 5. Three (3) years or more managing nonappropriated fund (NAF) Budgets. 6. Three (3) or more years' of experience managing a multi-level staff of 20 or more in a nonappropriated fund (NAF) civilian personnel system. 7. Three (3) or more years' of FMWR 5 Year Strategic Planning experience 8. Three (3) or more years' of operational experience with Point of Sales reporting system (i.e. RecTrac, CYMS)

Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance, and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
