About the role

As a PI System Support Specialist, you will be part of a growing ISG team supporting clients across multiple industries. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in PI System architecture and tools, who enjoys solving real-time data challenges and guiding customers to maximize the value of their PI infrastructure. You’ll help implement a robust support model and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze, propose, and implement solutions to client challenges in real-time data environments.
  • Provide PI System guidelines and best practices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and manage managed services solutions across the customer portfolio.
  • Optimize PI System performance and monitor system health.
  • Support colleagues with day-to-day operations and troubleshoot escalated issues.
  • Align with customers on initiatives and improvements.
  • Draft technical documentation including user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

 

Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 1 day a week in a client or Cognizant office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Some travel may be required for customer visits, trainings, or events. What you need to have to be considered

  • Strong understanding of PI System architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with PI DA, AF, Analytics, Interfaces, and Batch Interfaces.
  • Ability to work independently and in multicultural teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to new technologies.
  • Passion for quality and customer interaction.
  • Higher academic or technical education in IT, Engineering, or Automation with extensive experience in PI System tools (integration, installation, configuration, support).

 

These will help you stand out

  • Experience with other historians (Ignition, IP21).
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems or OPC servers (Kepware, DeltaV, Rockwell).
  • Experience with third-party tools (SynTQ, Seeq, Qlik, SIMCA).
  • Rtreports experience.
  • Programming and integration skills.
  • cGXP experience.
