WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE    

The Director of Sales & Customer Management at Generous Brands will oversee the SCM and Logistics teams. This individual will maintain overall responsibility for their teams and the assigned customers, as well as , third-party carriers, to achieve the highest level of customer service while enhancing mutual growth and profitability.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR   

  • Directs and leads SCM team to ensure that products consistently meet customer needs while optimizing supplies across the customer base  
  • Proactive problem resolution in managing customer orders. Collaborate with sales leaders on resolutions; keeps leadership informed and ensures issues are resolved timely and effectively communicated
  • Pricing Accuracy. Responsible for ensuring accurate and complete customer contracts exist in internal systems and customer systems for customer base supervised
  • Account Analytics– Customer Relations and Grow Revenue
  • Builds customer loyalty and confidence; takes a proactive approach to meeting multiple customer needs and overseeing the effective management of orders across the team
  • Selling skills – Responsible to increase revenue 
  • Visits key accounts at customer site or trade shows, in conjunction with sales, to jointly manage accounts and grow total company business
  • Account Analytics – Proactive Problem Solving
  • Leads team efforts to solve problems by gathering, analyzing, and reviewing information; determines appropriate resolution, including presenting results and recommendations to sales leaders and senior management
  • Account Analytics – Contracts and Pricing
  • Assists in the preparation of sales forecasts, quotes and/or negotiations. Assists Sales leadership and Sr. Mgmt in the preparation of sales forecasts, quotes and/or contract negotiations with key accounts
  • Works with the Sales team to establish prices for market-based sales of regional, bulk, aged, or excess products; communicates pricing to team
  • Account Analytics – Reporting & Analysis
  • Reviews and analyzes reports on sales activities for team; proactively identify issues, trends, risks and opportunities to optimize operations and enhance company revenue  
  • Product Management 
  • Collaborates with production and sales, performs analysis, and makes recommendations to team on opportunities for potential product sales of excess, dated, or expanded products to increase total company sales; oversees efforts of team to increase sales throughout management of customer orders
  • Systems & Technical Skills
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with 1) ERP software tools used to enter and manage orders, and monitor customer accounts; 2) software tools used to manage and evaluate inventory, and 3) BI software to analyze data and report on activity; ability to instruct and oversee the systems work of others; Leadership
  • Provide clear direction and communication to SCM team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years customer service, sales, logistics experience or closely related field
  • 3+ years Sales Management (must have included supervising manager level employees

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Proficient use of English language when speaking, reading and writing 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, and Excel 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a high‐stress, multi‐task environment
  • Possess logical problem-solving skills, analysis and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple customers and deadlines
  • Must exhibit strong degree of professionalism and ability to work with limited direct supervision   

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and other ERP systems 
  • Experience with Red Prairie or other inventory management systems is a major plus 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended period of time during work period
