Hospital and Medical Construction Project Manager chez Bisnow

Our SelectLeaders' client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee hospital and medical facility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of healthcare infrastructure projects. These projects are located in Fairfax, Virginia, and this role requires regular on-site presence.

Responsibilities:

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for hospital and medical construction projects.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. 

Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests.

Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors. 

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare industry standards.

Conduct quality inspections to maintain high construction standards.

Address any deviations from project specifications promptly. 

Facilitate effective communication among project team members, hospital staff, and external partners. 

Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and achievements. 

Identify potential risks related to construction delays, budget overruns, or design changes.

Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. 

Understand the unique requirements of hospital and medical facilities (e.g., infection control, patient safety, specialized equipment).

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address specific needs 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience managing construction projects in healthcare settings.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
