Position Summary
As a Slitter Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machines in our production facility. Your expertise in machine operation and precision is vital in ensuring the accurate slitting and scoring of corrugated materials to meet our production standards and client requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machines to accurately slit corrugated materials according to specified dimensions.
- Load and align corrugated materials onto the machine, ensuring proper tension and alignment to prevent defects.
- Monitor the quality of the slit materials, checking for defects, dimensions, and alignment, and adjust as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning to ensure optimal machine performance, and promptly report any malfunctions or issues to maintenance.
- Follow production schedules and prioritize work orders to meet production goals and client deadlines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections on slit materials to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and quality control checks as directed and in accordance with plant quality standards.
- Work closely with the production team to coordinate the flow of materials and products. Assist team as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and plant management.
- Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise

- Ability to frequently stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Ability to regularly lift 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 18 years of age or older
- GED or high school diploma, 1-3 months experience or combination of education and experience
- Mathematical skills required for counting, measuring, reading, and converting data.
