We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Sr. Software Automation Manager to lead a team of software technicians and engineers in stabilizing and improving the reliability of Operational Technology (OT) systems, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement within a dynamic production environment by eliminating failure modes and reducing downtime. You’ll play a key role in fostering an efficient, collaborative, and inclusive work environment for technicians and engineers.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of multi-skilled engineers, and technicians, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
Oversee activities of the company's development and design requirements for software systems, applications and software quality assurance for enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools, to meet the current and future Software needs.
Manages activities to assure programs are appropriately resourced and ensure continuous improvement in technical capability, process, and compliance.
Manages scope, cost, and schedule within a cross-functional development team.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Implement poka-yoke (error-proofing) and lean manufacturing principles to reduce OT system related downtime and improve process reliability.
Develops new objectives, new operating policies, products, processes and standards in support of the job function strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor and microelectronics manufacturing operations and equipment.
Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor and microelectronics electric testing system integration and data handling.
Experience working in regulated industries.
Experience leading software development teams in the completion of software or integration projects.
Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing, especially concerning the integrated circuit test development processes, equipment control software development, and test result data management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership skills associated with influence management.
Program management experience.
Ability to inspire, train, facilitate, and lead.
Medical device manufacturing and operations experience.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-linked technical work environment.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment, including knowledge of FDA regulations, QSR, ISO standards, and related regulations.
Previous knowledge of medical device quality systems and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
