As a Health & Safety Specialist (m/f/d), you will lead initiatives to ensure safe working environments and compliance with the highest regulatory standards. The mission will be to anticipate risks, implement effective solutions, and promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
This position will be based in our Plant in Medina del Campo (Valladolid- Spain).
What you will do
Analyze incidents, first aid cases, and occupational illnesses, proposing corrective actions and coordinating their implementation.
Coordinate all activities for the safe use of lead and other chemicals.
Conduct internal safety audits and report findings to senior management.
Implement and maintain safety programs and procedures documented in BOS.
Develop training programs on safety and the safe use of lead for management teams, employees, and contractors.
Improve and modify the Safety Management System to protect the organization against litigation and prosecution.
Communicate H&S performance to management and collaborate with the purchasing team to identify cost-saving opportunities related to Health and Safety.
Organize and implement standardized personal protective programs to ensure correct PPE is provided.
What makes you a good fit
Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
Extensive experience with the European regulatory landscape, particularly in industrial and manufacturing contexts.
Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment.
Proven management capabilities with strong organizational skills.
Solid experience in project management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
Fluency in English.
