Post Doctoral Scholar Trainee presso Oregon Health & Science University

Function/Duties of Position:

This position involves working on a NIA funded T32 research fellowship project in the Balance Disorders Laboratory, related to the neuroscience of aging and neurodegeneration.  Research will be conducted under the guidance of mentors, and the postdoctoral researcher will be instrumental in study design, data collection and analysis, as well as writing of manuscripts and presentation of results at conferences. The position also requires oversight of research assistants and summer undergraduate/high school students working on this project, and collaboration with clinical investigators in the Neurology Department.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in Rehabilitation Science/Physical therapy
• Experience with human subject research studies; experience analyzing and publishing research studies; and experience working with patients who have neurological disorders
• Research methodology and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet milestones of grants

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data analysis using wearable sensors and virtual reality
