Position Summary:
The Assistant Turf Manager position will assist in the maintenance of athletic turf-grass for all athletic venues to include synthetic fields. This position is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of athletic venues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of sports turf to include: maintenance of turf-grass and grounds to established standards, general maintenance and landscape of all athletic venues (game fields, practice fields, synthetic fields, tennis courts, common areas, etc.)
Responsible for the maintenance schedule of all equipment to ensure life capacity of equipment
Assist in the ordering and scheduling of overseeding, spraying, etc for all turf-grass of athletic venues
Assist in the scheduling of maintenance of artificial surfaces at athletic venues
Prepare fields for practice and games
Responsible for the daily cleaning of athletic venues; including but not limited to; the bleachers, stands, dugouts, and common area
Maintain a valid NC Class A drivers license
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, to include the wearing of proper safety and protective equipment as required
Other job-related duties, activities, and responsibilities may change or be assigned by the Director of Sports Turf or the Deputy AD, COO at any time, with or without notice
Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including Title IX and Information Security such as FERPA and other state and federal mandates
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Necessary Special Qualifications: North Carolina Pesticide License may be required (can be obtained within six months of employment)
At least two (2) years of experience in field maintenance, previous experience with turf, horticulture, and/or landscape maintenance and trade school education are desired
