POSITION SUMMARY


Responsible for managing communications and providing administrative support to Loan Officers (and Branch Manager as necessary) in a fast-paced environment. The Team Loan Officer is expected to generate referral business to hand off to the Loan Officer to originate. The Team Loan Officer will be expected to be licensed in all states that the loan officer they support is licensed in and may assist with origination activities but will not be originating loans in their name.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS   
 

Supports Loan Officers (and Branch Manager as necessary) in the following capacity:

· Develop all LO correspondence, including but not limited to:

o Manage birthday card database

o Contact FSBO’s with mailings to contact

o Develop all Flyers (i.e. listing and marketing)

o Order postcards for all appraisals

o Mail intro letters to all pre-quals

o Mail thank you letters to all realtors for referrals

o Manage monthly or quarterly newsletter for Los (including set up, mailings, and issuing deadlines for material)

o Distribute Loan Status reports weekly to realtors

o Email weekly rate sheet to realtor database

o Call online applicants to obtain all info not provided

o Call to report weekly loan status to customers

o Responsible for providing critical updates to Buyers Agents/Listing Agents and Builders

o Follow up with previous pre-quals to maintain contact with customers who have not closed

o Thank you letters for business for newly closed clients

· Work directly with team LOA to implement specific structures/detailed procedures to improve efficiency and productivity

· Identify marketing need/training events and coordinate with Marketing and MSA

· Update and maintain closed loan database monthly

· Attend weekly team meetings and bi-weekly LO meetings

· Attend joint sales calls to Realtors, Builders, MSAs

· Spend time in your MSAs acting as an additional resource to the Agents

· Lock in loans while LO’s are in field

· Order appraisal and title and stack files in submission order on all new files before handing to processor (LO to review before hand off to processor)

· Manage mortgage returns and top of minds

  

· Track UTCs, closings, and lock expirations to meet deadlines

· Running Credit Reports

· Taking loan applications/Prequals

· Inputting loan data from start to finish into Loan Origination System

· Running loans through various systems

· Loan file submission to underwriting

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS


Minimum Education:   


· High School diploma or equivalent required

· College degree preferred


Minimum Knowledge:


· Must be willing to take classes and testing to qualify for Federal / State Loan Officer License within first 6 months of employment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & Word) and all Windows applications and the ability to learn and work with various Mortgage computerized applications

· Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (including spelling/grammar skills), strong organizational skills, follow-up skills, problem-solving and analytical skills

· Must be detail, task and goal oriented

· Ability to relate and communicate in a professional, personable manner with all levels of management, internal and external contacts

· Ability to prioritize and perform constantly changing multiple tasks in a very fast paced team environment

· Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision, self- discipline, self-motivation and self-reliance a plus

· Excellent attendance history

· Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

· Employees are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by managers/supervisors, which the employee can perform

· Maintain equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage to areas and equipment, and to prevent accidents

· Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information

· Employees must record all hours worked accurately and honestly in the timekeeping system


Minimum Experience and Licensing Requirements:


· Minimum of 1-2 years administrative support experience

· 1 year Mortgage Industry experience preferred

· Must have NMLS license in all states where the Loan Officer supported is licensed
