A current vacancy exists for an ELD Teacher in the Norristown Area School District at Norristown Area High School for the 2025-2026 School Year.

* Sign On Bonus (In addition to Salary): $3,000

Qualifications:

• PA Certification in ESL Program Specialist K-12
• High School level PA Certification
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people
• Must be cooperative, congenial, and self-motivated
• Ability to complete the task of running a classroom with minimal supervision
• FBI, Pa Criminal Background, and Child Abuse clearances
• Bilingual in Spanish Preferred 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide an appropriate program of education and training for the students.
• Utilize the abilities, skills, and talents of all members of the team to the fullest in educating the students.
• Administer individual diagnostic tests to assess the students' educational achievement.
• Provide classroom management based on principles of child development and behavior modification techniques.
• Submit quarterly student progress reports to parent and district of residence administrator.
• Work effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Develop professional relationships and a supportive climate that facilitates mainstreaming students.
• Keep up-to-date attendance records and child tracking data on each enrolled student.
• Assume additional duties as assigned by the program supervisor.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 

7.5 hours/ day

2025-2026 Salary Schedule:

experience calculated per contract agreement not to exceed step 10

Bachelor's - $58,165 to $73,581 (Step 10)

Bachelor's + 24 - $62,490 to $81,256 (Step 10)

Master's - $66,299 to $88,419 (Step 10)

Master's + 15 - $69,165 to $92,419 ((Step 10)

Master's + 30 - $72,026  to $96,420 (Step 10)

Master's + 45 - $72,528 to $96,959 (Step 10)

Doctorate/Master's + 60 - $73,028 to $97,497 (Step 10)
