Chant Engineering Co. Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR functions within our organization. This is an in-office position.
Human Resources Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the management and continuous improvement of HR platform and systems.
- Administer and communicate company benefits programs and be a liaison between employees and benefits providers.
- Establish, implement, and enforce HR policies, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Cultivate and promote a positive culture and employee engagement.
- Perform all Human Resource related functions including FMLA, worker’s compensation, unemployment claims, and benefits administration.
- Develop creative approaches with talent acquisition and identify and attract qualified candidates using internal, multi-media advertising, networking, trade schools, colleges and universities.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of candidates including sourcing, screening, interviewing, providing feedback/recommendations, assisting the candidate through offer negotiations, background check/drug screens and acceptance.
- On board new employees ensure that necessary paperwork and required training is complete in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
- Partner with department managers to create and maintain employee training and development plans, tack training costs, schedules and documentation.
- Make training recommendations to support retention and development.
- Oversee the payroll process and weekly submissions.
- Manage the healthcare coverage plan, company liability insurance and IT brokers.
- Maintain and update employee handbook.
- Organize and execute monthly employee appreciation events, lunches, etc.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.
Human Resources Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in HR leadership role
- Strong understanding of HR platforms, policies, legal compliance, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies across diverse organizations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills and being able to work strategically and execute process.
- Passion for cultivating organizational culture and employee development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbally.
