Winter Intern - Sales chez Peco Foods

Peco Foods, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Winter Intern - Sales at our Bay Springs plant. This internship offers hands-on experience in the poultry and agribusiness sector, providing valuable exposure to sales operations, customer relationship management, and the commercial side of food production.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys building relationships, and is interested in pursuing a career in food sales, agribusiness, or supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Sales Team in identifying new business opportunities within retail, foodservice, and wholesale channels.
• Conduct market research on poultry product trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
• Support in maintaining customer databases and preparing sales reports.
• Participate in client calls, plant tours, and product presentations.
• Help prepare marketing and promotional materials for sales campaigns.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to fulfill customer orders.
• Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and customer needs.
• Provide administrative support for daily sales operations and documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, agriculture, agribusiness, food Science, or a related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

• Interest in the poultry industry, agriculture, or food production preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
