About the Pharmacy Management Internship:
Our Pharmacy Management Division is seeking a Pharmacy Management Intern to join our team! This role directly supports formulary management and clinical criteria maintenance, ensuring timely and accurate updates that impact member access, provider guidance, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include conducting clinical research on newly launched medications to inform coverage decisions, supporting 1/1 readiness activities and annual formulary updates, assisting with vaccine pricing reviews and guideline update summaries, updating clinical criteria including question set and denial statement creation and revisions, and preparing materials and providing support for Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings. Applicants must have successfully completed at least one year of coursework in a PharmD program. This paid, fully remote internship will start in May 2026 and offers 10-15 hours per week during typical business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST), Monday through Friday. Job Qualifications
Education
- Active college students (in an accredited college or university) who have completed a minimum of two years of college are eligible.
- Recent college graduates and students enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral program (in an accredited college or university) are also eligible.
- Must provide transcripts.
- Active full-time BCBST employees are not eligible to participate in the program.
Experience
- Varies based on division. Please see Job Specific Requirements section below for this internship’s specific responsibilities and preferred qualifications.
Skills/Certifications
- Able to prioritize, work independently, and effectively manage time and resources.
- Effective communication skills: written and verbal.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Appropriate decision-making skills required.
GPA requirement
- Must have a 2.75 GPA or higher
