What We're Looking For: 

Barge Design Solutions,Inc. is seeking a talented Associate Project Manager to join our State& Local Client Center. This role serves in a technical capacity on projectswhen required but also executes project management activities under the directionof the Directory of Projects on single-discipline projects.  Position canbe 100% remote and work from any office location.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support development and execution of the State & Local Client Center’s business plan that aligns with the firm’s strategic plan and annual performance objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Projects, Client Service Leader (CSL) and Client Champions for the development and execution of client marketing plans, pursuit strategies, teaming agreements, proposals, and interviews.
  • Responsibilities include working with leadership under the guidance of the Director of Projects to learn and implement proper PM procedures.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders on proposals to determine time, cost, & processes for accomplishing projects deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish Project Management, Quality, and Work Delivery Plans, and assemble project teams.
  • Executing activities to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within defined time and established budgets. 
  • Functions as the roadway technical leader (Engineer of Record) on projects when required. 
  • Reviews reports and findings.
  • Make recommendations for modification to projects as needed.
  • Monitors project budgets against plan.
  • Prepare reports for management, clients, or others.
  • Acts as liaison and builds relationships with client and project teams by participating in client meetings & leading internal project meetings.


 Education & Experience Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • PE candidates are highly preferred, but PMP candidates without a PE but with the same technical skills will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in roadway design.  Experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
  • Strong technical credibility, strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage project schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong teambuilding skills.
  • Able to collaborate with other design disciplines.
