Work Schedule:
Full time 1.0 FTE. Monday – Friday with variable start times. Weekend coverage (in Cardiac and/or Vascular) occasionally to support the team. Supports coverage at 6 locations within the Madison, WI area. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

A successful candidate will be credentialed and experienced in one of the following: Cardiac or Vascular or Cardiovascular and will be a graduate of an accredited Cardiac and/or Vascular program. You are a highly skilled sonographer who has grown into leadership through Supervisory roles or progressive responsibility in Lead sonographer roles, Clinical Education or Technical Director roles. You’re ready to take the next step and motivate others, elevate practice, and drive quality across a service line. We are seeking a Supervisor, Cardiovascular Sonography – Non-Invasive to:
- Motivate, lead others and share knowledge to provide advanced training to current Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers and new staff members.
- Collaborate between programs to cultivate a dynamic and high functioning team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.
- Assume a daily leadership role and demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in all applicable clinical settings.
- Provide daily oversite and supervision of sonographer schedules.
- Stay abreast of current IAC guidelines and updates. Suggest and support changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement. Coordinate training and development of sonography team and keep them advised of any technology updates or changes.
- Collaborate with clinicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, other disciplines, and patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care and a positive experience for the patients, families, and visitors.
- Support the development and coordination of new programs, cutting-edge technology and procedures utilizing ultrasound imaging.
- The team supports a robust structural heart program. The procedures include transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, MitraTEER, TriTEER and Watchman implantation, PFO/ASD/VSD closures and alcohol septal ablation procedures.
- Lead in a Cardiovascular Imaging Lab that is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging at 6 locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and clinics in the Madison area

- Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health services field Preferred
- Master's Degree in business administration, healthcare management or related care management field Preferred
- Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field Required Preferred
- Graduate of an ultrasonography program Required
- 3 years experience in performing complex Cardiac or Vascular ultrasound imaging Required
- 1 year of progressively increased responsibility in a leadership role in an advanced healthcare setting Required
- 5 years experience to include leadership, training of staff and students and progressively responsible experience as a lead sonographer or supervision of staff Preferred
- Registered in Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) or Vascular Ultrasound (RVT or RVS) Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
- Registered in Advanced Cardiac Sonography (ACS) Preferred
- Registered in Adult Echocardiography (AE), Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Preferred
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) Preferred
