Troy Bank and Trust is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team in the Troy-Legacy Market. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Operations Associate to join our Loan Operations Department. This full-time position plays a critical role in the booking, maintenance, and modification of all loans. You’ll be the go-to resource for internal and external customers, assisting with payments, clarifying transactions, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Book loans into core system and balance related general ledger accounts

    Post and maintain loan payments, including corrections and credit card transactions

    Set up and manage auto transfers for loan payments

    Balance daily general ledger and demand deposit accounts

    Work within financial planning software for monthly reporting and account tracking

    Manage loan documentation and prepare monthly reports

    Process loan maintenance requests and charge-off approvals

    Track and manage insurance on bank collateral, including force-placed insurance (Proctor)

    Respond to credit bureau disputes via e-Oscar

    Scan, file, and maintain loan documents and collateral files

    Manage ticklers for missing documentation and financial tracking

    Release collateral upon loan payoff and mail to borrowers

    Print, verify, and mail loan notices

    Handle escrow processing including analysis, reviews, and customer communication


Minimum qualifications include the following:

    High School Diploma required; post-secondary education a plus

    1–2 years of banking or related experience

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Customer satisfaction oriented.

    Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

    Demonstrated skill in accuracy and attention to detail.

    Must work in person/office

    Ability to travel between all locations to accommodate staffing needs as required to include temporary or permanent assignment


Work Hours:

    Full-time, 40 hours/week

    Standard hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
