Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities):
Program Administration
• Assist the Program Director in day-to-day management of the MHS program.
• Coordinate academic scheduling, course offerings, and faculty assignments.
• Manage and maintain student records and ensure compliance with institutional policies.
• Support the accreditation and program review processes by gathering and analyzing data.
Student Support and Advising
• Provide academic advising and support to MHS students throughout their program.
• Assist with orientation, registration, graduation tracking, and career services coordination.
• Address student inquiries, concerns, and escalate as needed.
Faculty and Curriculum Support
• Collaborate with other faculty to ensure quality course delivery and curriculum development.
• Coordinate guest lectures, workshops, and academic events, including informational sessions for medical, dental, and physician assistant programs
• Support adjunct and full-time faculty with onboarding and administrative needs.
Recruitment and Outreach
• Assist in recruitment initiatives, including events, application review, and admissions interviews.
• Develop marketing materials in collaboration with the communications team.
• Represent the program at internal and external events.
Data and Reporting
• Track and report key program metrics such as enrollment, retention, and graduation rates.
• Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Teaching & Mentorship Responsibilities
• Teach graduate students in the MHS Bootcamp course and the SHIFT (Short Course in Transferable Skills Training) course
• Mentor MHS students in developing critical thinking skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of graduate education, especially in the health sciences, public health, or related fields.
• Familiarity with academic program administration, including curriculum development, accreditation standards, and student services.
• Knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Awareness of trends and challenges in health sciences education, including interprofessional education, online learning, and workforce development.
Skills:
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting for program evaluation and improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Workday) and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and secure web applications for building and managing online surveys and databases (e.g., REDCapTM).
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment.
Abilities:
• Ability to handle sensitive student and faculty issues with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to program planning and development.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage ambiguity.

Knowledge:
• Understanding of healthcare workforce trends and graduate health education pathways.
Skills:
• Experience with CRM or student success platforms (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, Navigate).
• Skill in developing student-centered programming, including workshops, orientations, or mentorship initiatives.
• Grant writing or experience supporting externally funded research or educational projects.
• Advanced data analysis skills using tools such as REDCapTM, Excel, SPSS, Tableau, or Qualtrics.
Abilities:
• Ability to contribute to strategic planning, assessment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to mentor students or support student research and professional development efforts.
• Ability to build partnerships with faculty, alumni, employers, and community stakeholders to enhance program outcomes.

Education and Experience Required:
• Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in higher education or health-related program administration.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with data management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience Preferred:
• Experience with student advising and academic program development.
• Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
• Experience with graduate health science programs or clinical education settings.
