Shift  Monday- Friday Fulltime 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Location: Altamonte Springs

The role you will contribute:

The employee is responsible for maintenance support services within the Facilities Management Department. Responsibilities include maintenance work orders, assisting operation technicians, assisting with leading meeting set-up, emergency response and maintenance efforts for the corporate campus. The position requires some heavy lifting, some basic knowledge of maintenance principles and utilization of tools. On-call availability required.

The value you will bring to the team:

  • Handles maintenance work orders and prioritizes tasks as assigned.

  • Assists operation technicians with various maintenance tasks.

  • Supports meeting set-up and emergency response efforts.

  • Inspects landscape and hardscape for improvements and communicates deficiencies.

  • Maintains irrigation systems and reports major issues to the Facility Manager.

  • Evaluates and reports conditions that detract from safety or aesthetic value.

  • Removes debris and addresses hazardous conditions.

  • Assists contractors and vendors with on-site events or maintenance.

  • Performs pressure washing and leads small improvement projects.

  • Replaces water filters, faucet sensors, toilet/urinal components, lamps, and bulbs.

  • Checks fire extinguishers for proper functionality and tightens screws and bolts for safety.

  • Assists with furniture installations, including monitor arms and keyboard trays.

  • Other Duties as assigned


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • High School Grad or Equiv Required

  • 0+ Work Experience Required

  • Knowledge and ability to learn the following Microsoft Products.

  • Knowledge and ability to learn Peoplesoft maintenance management system.

  • Basic maintenance repair skills

  • Working knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscape plants used in state.

  • Skilled in the use of common landscape equipment such as weed eaters, mowers, trimmers, edgers, chain saws.

  • Working knowledge of irrigation equipment and controllers

  • Ability to follow directions while working alone.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English

  • May be required to be on-call and respond to hurricane disaster.

  • Personal tools required.
