About the Department
Under general direction of the Purchasing Manager, Procurement Specialist II performs general and complex procurement functions and applies principles of competitive solicitation for city departments. Facilitates with monitoring overcrowding the City adherence to established policies and statues. Purchases standard and nonstandard off the shelf items and materials for the warehouse and print shop.

Minimum Qualifications
Other Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field AND four (4) years of experience in procurement or accounting; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must possess a Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) Certification or obtain in one year of hire and a Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) Certification or obtain in three years of hire.
- Laws, regulations, office procedures, and records management.
- Print shop operations, production, and equipment maintenance.
- Operating printing equipment (printer, copier, paper drill, perforation machine).
- Multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- A valid State driver’s license is required.
