The Role
Supervisors in our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) division oversee financial operations for multiple clients, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial statements. They provide strategic financial advice and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role involves collaborating with clients, managing client relationships, analyzing financial data, and optimizing processes to support business growth and financial stability.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete work in-person at our Dallas office at least two days per week (hybrid work arrangement)
- Educate and advise clients on best practices regarding financial and business operations
- Assist in leading projects and teams that manage budgets, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for multiple clients
- Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate senior and staff accountants
- Analyze and review client balance sheets
- Prepare journal entries, work papers, financial statements, and custom reports
- Understand and prepare amortization and depreciation schedules and reports
- Reconcile bank and credit card account balances
- Complete 1099, payroll, and sales tax returns
Qualifications
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
- CPA/CMA preferred
- 6+ years of professional work experience in accounting
- 2+ years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience
- Previous experience working in a CPA firm preferred
- 4+ years of experience using QuickBooks, Sage, Yardi, MRI, and/or CAM/RECs, or related
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness, combined with a cooperative attitude
- Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self‐manage workload responsibilities
