Vitalant is seeking a Commercial Maintenance Mechanic dedicated to making a positive difference. Ensure proper maintenance, repair, and environmental conditions of buildings and grounds. Support management in achieving collection goals and ensuring cost effective operations.
What to Expect
Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) - 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Note: This position does have a call schedule.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll get to:
- Perform advanced inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Lead and execute complex work orders involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural maintenance.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, recommending long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor work, ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
- Support facility upgrades, renovations, and special projects by providing technical input and hands-on execution.
- Maintain and calibrate building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and access control infrastructure.
- Mentor and guide Facilities Technicians in performing routine maintenance and safety procedures.
- Ensure documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and contractor services is complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Facilities Management to ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, and internal policies.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE usage, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard communication standards
