Job Description: 

Summary:

The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network, servers and storage systems; The Director of IT Infrastructure ensures that the IT infrastructure meets the current and future needs of the organization, while adhering to the best practices, standards, and policies; The Director of IT Infrastructure also manages the IT infrastructure team and coordinates with other IT leaders and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plans, develops, and executes the IT infrastructure strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the organizational goals and objectives

2. Manages the IT infrastructure budget and ensures the optimal utilization of resources and assets

3. Leads the IT infrastructure team and provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluation

4. Establishes and maintains the IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure compliance with the regulatory and security requirements

5. Monitors and evaluates the IT infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability, and implement continuous improvement initiatives

6. Identifies and resolves any IT infrastructure issues and risks and escalates them as needed

7. Oversees hardware and software life cycle replacement programs as it pertains to network, backup, and server equipment

8. Researches and evaluates new technologies and solutions that can enhance the IT infrastructure capabilities and efficiency

9. Collaborates with other IT leaders and stakeholders to ensure the IT infrastructure supports the business needs and requirements

10. Manages the IT infrastructure projects and vendors and ensure the timely and quality delivery of the services and products.

11. Provides regular reports and updates on the IT infrastructure status and performance to the IT Leadership team and other relevant parties.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field

  • 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network, servers and storage systems

  • Strong knowledge of the IT infrastructure best practices, standards, and frameworks

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Certifications in IT infrastructure domains, such as CCNA, CCNP, VCP, PCNSA, etc., are preferred

Sitting for long periods. Walking and standing for extended time. Twisting, bending, squatting, stretching, reaching motion. Extended time viewing computer screens and inputting data. Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying some heavy objects, manipulating office equipment and machines.

Working Environment:

A well-lighted and ventilated working area that has its own temperature control system (air conditioning and heat); Is subject to frequent interruptions; Is willing to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays; Required to travel from facility to facility; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
