JJ Powell, Inc. and Snappy’s Convenience Stores operate together to serve a broad customer base across residential, commercial, and retail sectors in Central Pennsylvania. We’re hiring a Senior IT Technician to support our retail, commercial, and industrial operations. We’re looking for an experienced tech pro who thrives on solving complex issues, managing systems across diverse environments, and keeping essential technology running smoothly — from corporate networks to convenience store POS systems.

What You’ll Do

• Support and maintain IT infrastructure, along with our 3^rd party providers, including servers, POS systems, networking equipment, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware and software across retail, corporate, and industrial divisions.
• Install, update, and support convenience store POS systems and related technologies.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand business needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
• Conduct system updates, data backups, and security monitoring.
• Provide prompt and professional end-user support for all business units.
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and IT assets.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies that align with business goals.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a multi-site environment.
• Strong understanding of POS systems; experience in convenience store or retail environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Paytronix or other loyalty/CRM platforms is a plus.
• Proficient with Windows Server, desktop OS, and networking fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between locations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
