Job Description:
The Role
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the delivery of high value products and services to our customers. You will work directly on a dedicated squad in the FI Data and Insights Enablement product area to implement and improve agile practices, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
The Skills And Expertise You Bring:
- 2-5 years of experience in a dedicated IT Project Manager or Scrum Master role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
- Experience with project management delivery concepts and application.
- Experience with risk mitigation techniques and managing quality control.
- Experience with agile project management tools (e.g. Jira, Jira Align, Confluence).
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
- Implement and maintain agile frameworks and practices within assigned teams.
- Facilitate Scrum events and ensure their effectiveness.
- Coach team members on agile principles and practices.
- Identify and help remove impediments to team progress.
- Promote transparency and effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Support backlog management and refinement.
- Drive release planning and management.
- Conduct capacity planning and assess goal fulfillment.
- Facilitate planning with dependent partners.
- Utilize data and metrics to drive process improvements.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Strong understanding of software development processes.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with data analysis, delivery metrics, and reporting.
- Process and Methodology Expertise: ability to implement work management structures and optimize team delivery processes.
- Dependency Management: identifying, tracking, managing work sequencing, and resolving dependencies.
- Business Acumen: Proficiency ensuring work is delivering measurable customer value and is effectively prioritized based on size, impact, and alignment to goals.
- Release Management: Familiarity with release process and change management.
- Data and Tools: Diligent in ensuring high data quality is maintained so that decisions and outcomes are transparent and reliable.
- Team Dynamics: Proficient embracing a positive leadership stance and building high levels of trust and engagement on teams.
The Team
We support cross-functional squads focusing on end-to-end development thought-leadership content. Our IT Project Managers engage with all team members, including the Squad Leader, to reinforce an agile approach and principles into the daily work. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, we evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture.

Program/Project ManagementMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
