Job Description:
The Senior Manager Production Support has significant impact on achievement of operational goals by ensuring that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. This person is responsible for managing a managed service provider and internal Business Systems Analyst team and guaranteeing reliable software systems that meet the needs of the Organization. This person will monitor the incoming service requests, incidents and projects and ensure that they are completed in a timely and high-quality manner. This position will work with stakeholders and interpret business needs and issues, effectively translating them to actionable requirements. This individual will apply business process knowledge of assigned function with proven analytical and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of IT investments and initiatives. This person will oversee the full facet of D365 production support, ISV/integrations and enhancements to existing solution.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Systems Development Lifecycle
- Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/technologies and develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. Research, identify and propose best practices.
- Reviews requests for services / improvements and partners with business stakeholders, clarifies objectives, determines feasibility and jointly determines business implications / value.
- Defines functional / system requirements and documents current / future state business processes.
- Ensures that any new software integration meets functional/ end user requirements, compliance and interface specifications, and proper documentation is maintained.
- Develops effective test scenarios, scripts and use cases with consideration to cross functional and process stream impact.
- Analyzes formal test results to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
- Oversees small projects and/or tasks and phases of larger projects. Responsible for coordinating activities of teams, schedules and resources for assigned tasks or projects.
- Develops strategies and related implementation plans in conjunction with the broader ERP initiative. Prioritizes initiatives based on discussions with key stake holders
- Is fully proficient in the end user functional processes performed within the supported applications.
- Performs application system administration functions specific to application setup, configuration and maintenance.
- Performs system, process and application monitoring and gathers metrics.
- Carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet quality, organization standards and end user requirements.
- Provides expertise and problem resolution to functional departments when issues extend outside the knowledge of the key departmental Key Users.
- Serve as escalation point for business managers, key users and the global applications staff
- Manage the IT delivery of training curriculum and materials, and responsible for overall technology adoption
- Monitors and review service requests to ensure services are delivered to SLA and customer satisfaction.
- Manage D365 environments – maintain and drive regular release calendar; manage schedule for ongoing updates/refreshes; drive and update environment refresh checklist action items; manages UAT/Testing calendars and planning for regular releases
- Manage ISV upgrade cadence, issue resolution and manage relationship with ISV providers
Production Support (Run Time)
- Is fully proficient in the end user functional processes performed within the supported applications.
- Performs application system administration functions specific to application setup, configuration and maintenance.

- Carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet quality, organization standards and end user requirements.

Organization and Management
- Hiring, mentoring and managing the performance of staff members including providing specific and constructive feedback to team members and completing annual performance reviews.
- Develops budgets for IT organization
- Ensure sufficient training for all staff members on all existing and new software.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports of functional and technical resources
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in design, development, customization, Implementation, Integration, and administration of MS Dynamics 365 F&O solutions
- Experience with full life-cycle implementations of D365 F&O and managing the production support team
- 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in large teams
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform
- Expertise with the D365 F&O technology stack and the peripheral technologies that can be leveraged including, but not limited to, Azure, Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Machine Learning, etc
- Strong knowledge of ERP Systems and business solution implementations
- Strong understanding of complex technical topics in Dynamics 365 including Application Integration Framework (AIF), Workflow, Data Import, Reporting, and LCS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with 3rd party products or technologies (XRMToolBox, XRMToolKit)
- Strong experience in vendor management including management of ISVs deployed on the D365 F&O platform
- Experience developing in a continuous integration environment (ALM strategy) using source code control, automated testing, and build automation
- Experience with Agile development methodology and tools (Azure DevOps/Jira)
- Highly motivated self-starter who can take ownership of tasks and activities and drive them to completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional team
- Implemented application integration using Azure services such as Azure Service Bus, Azure logic Apps, Azure functions, Azure Data Factory, etc
- Experience evaluating and documenting current state to future state enterprise-capable integration solutions
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies D365/Dataverse (tool configuration and customizations) Model Driven / Canvas Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and
- Excellent knowledge of development tools: C#, SQL, .Net, D365, CRM SDK, CRM Plugins, JSON, REST API, PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate (formally known as Flow)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O and working knowledge of Microsoft D365 CRM
- Strong advocate for adherence to standards, best practices, and delivery processes
- Experience in leading teams using hybrid, Agile methodologies
- Capable of driving requirements, planning, and designing Integrations for D365 F&O with other systems utilizing Azure Technology Stack
- Experience leveraging diagramming tools such as Lucid Chart or Microsoft Visio
- PMP and SCRUM Certifications preferred
- Strong communication, technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to develop strategic, ongoing relationships.
- Experience with data cleansing, verification, and migration.
- Knowledge of master data management and data quality best practices.
- Demonstrated progression of increasing responsibilities and business impact.
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Medical Devices or Life sciences industry experience is a strong plus.
- Highly regulated industry experience is a strong plus.
- Applicable Microsoft D365 Certifications
