Business Systems Analyst

This role is key to supporting and enhancing our business processes and ERP system, directly impacting operational efficiency across the organization. Position Summary

As a Business Systems Analyst at Sargent, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to business processes and enterprise systems, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and supporting company growth. This role serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that enterprise systems are aligned with organizational goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and support the ongoing optimization of our ERP system. The position will report to the Tucson IT & Automation Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and implement improvements to business systems and processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to document business requirements
  • Translate business requirements into functional system requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to end-users
  • Support ERP configuration, testing, and deployment of new features, modules, and upgrades
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure the system meets business expectations
  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements or integrations with other business systems
  • Assist with data migration, reporting, and dashboard development using tools like SQL, SSRS, or Power BI
  • Manage project planning, change management, and stakeholder communication
  • Utilize cross-functional teams to help make project and system decisions
  • May lead a small to medium group of team members
  • Support the Business Systems Team with all other required technical needs

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Must be a U.S. Citizen
      • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
      • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
      • Strong understanding of business processes in areas such as operations, finance, or manufacturing
      • Experience with ERP systems (Infor CloudSuite Industrial / Syteline)
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
      • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation
      • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of business processes
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Proven ability to manage a team
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in cross-functional teams
      • Position is fully on-site with a partial day on Friday

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 3–5 years of experience in business systems analysis or ERP implementation/support role
      • Advanced proficiency in ERP platforms, especially Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine)
      • Strong working knowledge of C# and .NET programming
      • Working knowledge of SQL databases for data manipulation and extraction
      • Experience with manufacturing or aerospace industry processes
      • Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or ERP-specific credentials
      • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including Power BI, Tableau, etc.
      • Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks
      • Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and middleware technologies
      • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage stakeholder expectations
