HealthPartners is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Patient Access. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing major projects and multiple mid/small size projects. Manages all aspects of a project, with direct accountability for project execution. Provides overall leadership to the project team(s) to accomplish project objectives within a given period with limited resources.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for carrying out Department projects.

Responsible for planning Department projects.

Responsible for partial input into project budget.
The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for planning the tasks associated with successful project completion and for managing task execution according to a written project plan.

May act as project manager on corporate strategic projects with overall accountability for project success.

May simultaneously manage one major project or numerous smaller projects.

Works with project sponsors to establish performance goals, metrics, and baselines.

Using standard methodologies, tools, and project management software, develops and maintains project documentation, work plans, and project deliverables.

Plans team member work assignments and schedules, guides and monitors work performance.

Establishes and maintains effective communications with team members, stakeholders, and contacts. Communicates project status to identified stakeholders through routine status reports and meetings.

Routinely evaluate team member performance, reports team member progress, and provides evaluation feedback to appropriate functional manager.

Initiates and maintains issues logs, taking responsibility for identifying and coordinating resolution of all technical and business issues.

Routinely contributes all project deliverables to central repository.

Ensures that all project time is accounted for and that project and team member activities are routinely collected and reported in standard fashion.

Where appropriate, coordinates vendor activities to ensure project success.

Estimates staff resource needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 8 years experience in healthcare operations.

Cumulative minimum of 5 years project leadership and/or project management experience.

Demonstrated project management skills-ability to properly plan and execute on project deliverables using various methodologies.

Demonstrated Electronic Medical Records experience, preferably Epic systems. 

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated data analysis, data presentation and problem solving skills.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Experience working with and negotiating with external vendors.
