JOB TITLE: Pharmacy Technician Supervisor-Fulfillment Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Director of Pharmacy
SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will oversee the overall management of assigned team members and professional assignments. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will oversee and participate in the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and provide medical supplies to customers and patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and laws regulating pharmacy practice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs assigned pharmacy and operations functions to ensure effective operations
- Ensures that all applicable pharmacy operations, practices, and procedures are being followed.
- Ensures all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state, and federal agencies are followed.
- Establish processes and goals for the assigned pharmacy personnel in conjunction with the Pharmacy manager and DOP, monitor these goals on a consistent basis, reporting results to the DOP and Chief pharmacy officer.
- Assist the Pharmacy manager and DOP in recruitment, hiring, and training of and supervise current staff to ensure they carry out the goals of the company and hold staff accountable.
- Assist the Pharmacy manager with maintaining schedules to ensure adequate staffing of the supervisor’s assigned area to meet the business needs.
- Provides and/or oversees Warehouse/Dispatch/Prep teams.
- Conduct meetings with direct reports on a regular basis.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager and DOP with annual performance evaluations of the pharmacy professionals. Establish annual performance goals and monitor progress toward these goals on a consistent basis.
- Report any misconduct, suspicious, or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients.
- Perform all technical duties within the supervised area, as needed.
- Assist in resolving patient concerns and complaints.
- Report product incidents as required in accordance with company policy.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the company’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Participate in company committees when requested.
- Participate in in-service education programs provided by the company.
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and certification requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and/or Project Manager.
- Prioritize and streamline patient deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt by patients, optimizing operational efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to support seamless operations and stakeholder alignment.
- Continuously improve processes within the scope of Prep, delivery and inventory management to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including drug inventory management, to maintain organization and compliance.
- Coordinate and assist with quarterly inventory counts to ensure pharmacy inventory accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees assigned personnel and the development and implementation of procedures to:
- Manage assigned pharmacy staff, including training, leading, coaching, and evaluating
- Accountable for implementation and adherence to the Performance Improvement program and ensures that the pharmacy complies with accreditation standards.
- Limit risk management and safety exposure in the pharmacy.
- Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices, and procedures are being followed
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with Arizona State Licensure
- Must hold a valid PTCB Certification
- Minimum of 2 years Hospital, Clinic, and/or Home Infusion Experience
- Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records
- Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions
- Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations, including USP 797
- Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
- Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee must occasionally lift and /or move 30 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
