EH&S Manager, Albany, GA
Arclin USA is seeking talent for an EH&S Manager job for our Albany, GA location. Reporting into the Plant Manager, the EH&S Manager is the owner of and is accountable for all plant activities related to the health, safety, and environmental protection of Arclin’s employees, community, and surroundings. The EH&S Manager position has no direct reports.

EH&S Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Compliance – develop, implement, and continuously improve site EH&S programs and policies. Serve as the local Subject Matter Expert, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT/FRA, and other state/ local regulations.
- Auditing & Reporting – Conduct regular site audits and assessments, track performance metrics, and report trends to plant and corporate leadership to identify risks and drive continuous improvement. Prepare and submit all required EH&S regulatory reports (air permit, stormwater, POTW, OSHA logs, etc.) accurately and on time.
- Employee & Contractor Engagement – Actively engage with employees and contractors to build a strong safety culture. Oversee contractor safety programs, including qualification, pre-job planning, training, and safe work permits.
- Training & Development – Deliver EH&S training and coaching to employees, track effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Incident Management – Lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Manage EH&S-related action items to closure.
- Project Support – Provide EH&S guidance and oversight for capital projects and new equipment installations to ensure safe, compliant execution.
EH&S Manager Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in environmental, health, safety, and industrial hygiene preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry preferred.
- LOTO, Machine Guarding, Hot Work Permits, Air Permitting, Stormwater, SPCC, Confined Space Program, and other regulatory compliance programs; however, we will consider candidates who do not have experience in all of these topics specifically.
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
- Microsoft Office including Advanced Excel skills.
- Must be able to maintain collaborative working relationships with plant staff, production supervisors, operators and maintenance personnel
- Travel less than 5%; must be available to respond to incidents and/or provide coverage after hours, as required.
- Ability to safely operate in a manufacturing environment, including potentially lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, stooping, climbing stairs, or other physical activities as needed.
