Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary: 

Trileaf is seeking a FULL-TIME Senior Environmental Project Scientist with at least 2 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and/or commercial real estate projects, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Review Reports, and/or migratory bird evaluations. This position is based in our Atlanta, Georgia office. Candidates will work on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site 
  • Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone 
  • Performing regulatory agency file reviews
  • Ordering & analyzing government database records
  • Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs) 
  • Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
  • Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards 
  • Drafting a standardized report using information from these various sources
  • Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • Phase I ESAs and/or NEPA Assessments
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Mold assessment/indoor air quality (IAQ) experience
  • Licensed Asbestos/Lead-based paint Inspector
  • Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
  • Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
  • Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
  • Environmental Professional (EP)
  • Wetland Delineations

Education:  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
