This position will be a temporary, contract role with 15-20 working hours weekly over the next 6 months.
Position Overview:
The Creative Services Assistant supports the Creative Services Manager by managing photo, video, graphic, brand assets, and marketing materials while ensuring smooth collaboration across teams. This role focuses on organizing and maintaining content libraries, assisting with uploads, audits, and archiving, and coordinating resources for visual projects. Responsibilities include supporting pre-shoot activities, vendor interactions, and photo/video editing, as well as documenting processes and providing training to enhance asset use.
Position Holder is Accountable For:
- Support the management of the photo and video library, including Canto and Dropbox
- Name and tag files accurately to facilitate easy searching
- Assist teams with bulk image upload and metadata
- Upload new files and engage with content regularly
- Create thumbnails for upcoming sprints and populate spreadsheet.
- Help conduct regular audits of digital assets
- Archive old images and remove duplicates
- Aid in tagging and organizing new uploads
- Assist and maintain documentation for procedures and guidelines
- Assist in training sessions for Contributors and Consumers
- Track license usage and report findings to Admins
- Conduct research on best practices for digital asset management
- Facilitate communication between Admins and Contributors
- Help test new software features or updates, providing feedback
- Canto General Photography Request Management assistance
- Assist with the Portfolio Director quarterly audits
- Assist with Portal and Online Guideline creations and asset uploads
- Maintain Dropbox and archive all video files.
- Support the audit process and ensure proper version control.
- Address video coordination needs for all business units/stakeholders and assist in coordinating video files with vendors.
- Provide pre-filming assistance with photoshoot assets and coordination.
- Name and tag video files accurately to facilitate easy searching and assist teams with bulk uploads and metadata management.
- Support with photo and video editing as needed such as: open, edit, and save files using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, edit and enhance photographs (color correction, cropping, and retouching), cut and arrange raw video footage into engaging narratives and promotional videos, create and edit short videos tailored for social media platforms, export videos in various formats (e.g., MP4, MOV) for multiple platforms, design and edit graphics (as needed), utilize various brand templates to ensure consistency across visual content (as needed), and adjust templates as necessary to align with individual project requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews of video assets to identify and address any outdated content.
- Assist with coordination of various brand assets and marketing materials
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Photography or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in video editing and graphic design
- Experience in the following tools: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Experience in asset management systems and organizational practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail in file management and data entry.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all outputs.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, and video production techniques is a plus.
The estimated salary rate for this position is between $25-35 per hour. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
