074 Recycling Supervisor Patten

This is a Full Time Position  Fridays and Saturday's are Days off 

JOB SUMMARY:                 This is a 12 month, full time position.  The Supervisor must have reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and obtain an “F” endorsement on his/her driver’s license.  The Supervisor will not be assigned one work site but will “float” between work sites to ensure staff coverage.  Must keep all orientation and training current.  This training includes CPR, First Aid, annual refresher training, client individual training (SITs), defensive driving, etc. The supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the assigned work site, including but not limited to the keeping the site clean of debris in all areas, maintaining a clean and sanitary cabin area, ordering supplies, and wearing all necessary safety equipment at all times, maintaining a safe and production work environment for individuals.  This person must work independently of supervision and maintain positive relationships with Orange Grove personnel, City of Chattanooga personnel, and the general citizens.  Their responsibilities include providing on the job training and evaluating client’s skills and abilities. This may consist of modeling cleaning tasks, sorting, collecting, and appropriate interactions with the community. This position must assist in developing positive relationships and provide a source of awareness to the community on the productive and positive qualities of people with disabilities.  The Supervisor must also complete all necessary paperwork, daily notes, progress notes, individual timesheets and reports that pertain to the requirements of the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, the City of Chattanooga, and Orange Grove Center.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:                    Prior Job Coaching or supervising experience is valuable, but not required.

TECHNICAL JOB               Understanding and awareness of individuals with intellectual disabilities. 

KNOWLEDGE:                    Knowledge of job requirements for light industrial and/or recycling.

PHYSICAL                           Good overall physical health and personal stamina.  

REQUIREMENTS:             Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs.

SUPERVISORY                   Responsible directly to the Recycling Coordinator.
