Senior Engineering Technician chez ManTech

MANTECH seeks skilled Senior Engineering Technician to contribute to the critical maintenance of the U.S. Navy's Landing Craft, Air Cushion Ship-to-Shore Connector (LCAC SSC) and legacy LCAC fleet at NSWC Panama City, FL . This is an on-site position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Interpret written instructions and specificationsUse a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as: torque wrench, feeler gage, micrometer, etc.Set up and operate standard machine tools such as: drill press, grinder, sander, etc.Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds of machining during repairsRepair or replace components in mechanical equipment to support US NAVY Ship-to-Shore Connector and Legacy LCAC and associated components at NSWC Panama City, FL.Communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clientsPerform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribedTravel may be requiredMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED10+ years of relevant experience as an Engineering Technician or in a related technical fieldStrong background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering supportExperience reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documentsFamiliarity with calibration, measurement tools, and diagnostic proceduresStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in both lab and field environmentsPreferred Qualifications:Associate's Degree or higher in Engineering Technology or related fieldPrior experience supporting DoD or Navy technical programsProficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generatorsKnowledge of shipboard or maritime systems and operationsTechnical certifications relevant to electrical, mechanical, or electronic systemsClearance Requirements:Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim Secret before startingPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Work in confined/restricted spaces. Climb and descend ladders.
