Position Overview
The Director of Sales & Acquisitions will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving strategic growth across Epic’s lines of business. This individual will lead multiple sales teams, manage acquisition initiatives for medical practices, develop market expansion strategies, and ensure revenue and growth targets are consistently achieved. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong strategic vision, proven sales leadership experience, and deep knowledge of healthcare business development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Oversee and manage multiple sales teams across different Epic business lines (primary care, specialty care, self-funded insurance, BPO, and other strategic initiatives).
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed growth goals across all markets.
- Establish and track performance metrics (KPIs/KRIs) for sales teams, ensuring accountability and consistent results.
- Implement structured sales processes, training, and coaching programs to maximize team performance.
Acquisition Strategy & Execution
- Lead the acquisition pipeline strategy to identify, evaluate, and close primary care and specialty medical practices for Epic Health’s expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, physician groups, health systems, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with executive leadership and legal/finance teams to drive deals from LOI to close.
- Develop geographic market entry and “land and expand” strategies for new regions.
Market Growth & Partnerships
- Collaborate with Marketing, Community Relations, and PR teams to align sales and outreach efforts.
- Support large-scale business development initiatives and partnership opportunities with insurers, referral networks, and community organizations.
- Represent Epic Health at industry events, networking functions, and acquisition-focused gatherings.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales and acquisition specialists.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for new acquisitions and business lines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, business development, or acquisitions—preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-channel sales teams and executing strategic growth initiatives.
- Experience in physician practice acquisitions or healthcare M&A is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
